Ordering Food for your Arrival

We provide a welcome pack which includes milk, bread, cake and biscuits. Fair trade tea, coffee and sugar are also readily available in the apartments. The water here is very good and has a great taste. For guests who prefer filtered water we provide filter jugs in each apartment.

You can arrange for a box of organic vegetables and fruit to be delivered from www.riverswale.co.uk or www.wildcarrot.co.uk.

The Wild Carrot offers an organic veg box scheme, with boxes for delivery in Buxton and the surrounding area, or for collection from the shop. They make the boxes up on Tuesdays and Thursdays and you can collect your box either of those days, after 2.00pm, or the following day. They deliver to our area on Wednesdays. There is a £1.50 delivery charge for boxes under £25.

River Swale delivers for free on a Tuesday.

If you plan to order groceries online please contact John and he will be able to advise you regarding delivery instructions you will need to give to the supermarket i.e. the access code for entering the car park.

Waitrose do not deliver out to us at the moment but we are continuing to encourage them to start! They state the following; 'Sorry but we do not yet deliver groceries in your area. However you can order your groceries online and collect your shopping from the nearest Waitrose branch (Sheffield) which offers this service and is 9 miles from your address. Alternatively you can collect your shopping from other Waitrose branches on our website (which includes Buxton)'.

There are some great food shops in the local area including a well-established butchers, a deli and a greengrocers and bakery. Please see our information on local food shopping. There are also farm shops and farmers markets. We provide details of where to shop as part of our information pack.

If you are arriving by public transport and wish to have some basic grocery items ready for your arrival please contact John and we will be happy to assist.
